Allegheny Trophy Trout
A place of few people, but many trout. Locally known as “Little Switzerland” Highland County, Virginia boasts a whopping population of 2,200 people. If you want a weekend trip away, this is certainly it. Every day offers an opportunity to fish separate private waters and land fish in the 20” plus range. Unique lodging opportunities from private Inns and lodges to private log cabins provide a multitude of options for you and your guests to enjoy a three day weekend. From daily prepared meals, transportation to the stream, gear, reservations and rustic accomodations or camping, we have planned it all!

Start your trip with a day fishing on two private streams and four private ponds before gathering around a campfire and playing cornhole. Bring your significant other for that long weekend away for private dining and quiet time. Fish a separate stretch your second day and spend time with sheep and friendly dogs before landing your personal best. Enjoy another custom dinner per your request to round the day out. Your final day can be either a float trip on the fabled Jackson River, or a stop on the way back east to another private stretch. Either way, rainbows and brown trout are the target to finish out the weekend. Float south on the lower Jackson River for a day of casting in one of the best trout waters in the state. Enjoy a lunch streamside and land a few more beautiful trout according to your travel schedule before you go home and brag about your weekend.
