We offer fly fishing lessons and clinics on local springs creeks and rivers or in ponds right in town! Middle River Outfitters manages many stretches of private trophy trout waters on creeks in Middleburg, Charlottesville, Staunton, Luray, Bath & Nelson Counties.

NORTHERN VIRGINIA
Goose Creek Hollow is a three quarters of a mile of stocked trophy trout water perfect for those looking to learn or escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. Kull Pond is perfect for those wanting to learn or improve, this large pond is loaded with panfish and monster largemouth. A beautiful place for wildlife, views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and, of course, fishing.
STAUNTON
Anathallo Acres is roughly 2 miles of private stream set on an idyllic farm. Rainbow trout in the 12-20” range are available. This location provides a great setting for a variety of casts and fishing techniques. Lewis Creek is this small spring creek offers a great place for beginners or a half day trip. Tight casting windows require accuracy and roll casts and is a great jumping off point for fishing many of the streams in the area. Moore Pond is perfect for kids or beginners because our stocked pond offers a great opportunity for catching. Eager sunfish patrol the banks and largemouth bass cruise around looking for unsuspecting victims. The open field allows for ease of casting.
CHARLOTTESVILLE
With great access all through Charlottesville to the Rivanna and several parks to the foothills and entrances to Shenandoah National Park Albemarle County and the surrounding area provides a plethora of warmwater and coldwater species. Catch brook trout in a tiny mountain stream or float for smallies right outside of town and still be back in time for dinner or a concert.
