THE RAPIDAN RIVER
The Rapidan is one of Virginia’s best-known brook trout rivers. Our private access gives anglers the opportunity to experience its clear mountain water with more space, less pressure, and guidance tailored to their ability.
Trips are designed around current water conditions, the season, and your goals for the day. Beginners are welcome, and experienced anglers can use the trip to refine their approach to small-stream brook trout fishing.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a wade-fishing experience on mountain trout water. Anglers should expect moving water, steep banks, natural structure, and the opportunity to fish pools, runs, pockets, and other productive holding water.
Your guide will assist with reading trout water, fly selection and presentation, casting in tighter conditions, approaching brook trout without disturbing the water, and adjusting techniques in changing conditions.
WHO THIS TRIP IS FOR
Anglers who prefer private access and limited fishing pressure, beginners new to brook trout, and experienced anglers interested in catching 12 inch+ brook trout. Small groups welcome.
